Time Portal is an Agricultural Labor Tracking System that includes a web application and mobile applications for Windows, IOS and Android.
- The web application is generally used by office personnel to manage information, review reports and generate payroll data.
- The mobile applications are generally used by crew leaders or individual employees to record labor and piece production information while in the field and without an Internet connection.
Each mobile application has been designed for different purposes but all provide the same base functionality:
- Retrieve lists of employees, jobs, locations and crop/varieties when Internet is available.
- Clock workers into and out of jobs/locations to record time while offline.
- Record piece counts for piece work (if applicable) while offline.
- Adjust times and piece counts (if allowed), collect signatures (if required), and approve Time Sheets for submission while offline.
- Synchronize to upload Time Sheets and refresh lists once the Internet is available.
Android and IOS App
This application is nearly identical for Android and IOS and can be placed into different modes for use by crew leaders or by individual employees such as drivers, scouts or inspectors.
- When in Crew Mode, the app can be used by a crew leader to clock workers into and out of jobs, record piece counts, and review/approve Time Sheets.
- When in Single User Mode, the app can be used by a worker to clock into or out of jobs then review/approve his Time Sheet for submission.
Selected employees and crew leaders can log into the Android and IOS Apps with their Phone Number and a special Access Code which is specified in the Employee Screen on the web site. That screen also allows for specifying the Mobile App Mode as described above.
Instructions for downloading and logging into the Android or IOS Apps are usually sent via text message from the web application. The text message will include a link to download instructions as well as the phone number and access code which are required to log in.
- The Android version can be downloaded from the Google Play Store onto an Android Tablet or an Android Phone.
- The IOS version can be downloaded from the Apple Store onto an IOS Tablet or IPhone.

Windows Mobile App
This is the original application that can be used by crew leaders to clock workers into and out of jobs and collect piece counts while out in the field. At the end of the day, or when an Internet Connection is available, information can be uploaded for review and processing by back office personnel.
The Windows Mobile App is downloaded from the Microsoft Store and can be installed on any Windows device running Windows 10 or later. This version supports connected devices such as barcode scanners, RFID readers and weight scales.
- Crew leaders can clock-in workers or record piece counts using barcodes or RFID badges, in addition to the traditional touch-screen method
- Weights can be collected for workers who place their container onto a scale and scan their badge.
- Punch Mode allows workers to clock in/out or collect piece information using the closest of multiple tablets in the field. Attendance and production information is determined in the web application once all devices have uploaded their information.
- Kiosk Mode causes the tablet to function as a simple wall clock that allows workers to scan their badge or type in an employee number to clock into and out of their work.
A User Account must be set up in the Time Portal Web application to allow a person to log into the Windows Mobile App. Although the user account may be assigned to a particular crew leader, it could also represent a foreman who records time and productivity for multiple crews on one device.
