Kiosk Now Supports Punch Mode (Windows Version)
As discussed in the topic What is Kiosk Mode, Time Portal can be operated as an unattended wall mounted time clock. The Windows version of Time Portal Mobile normally creates Time Sheets as employees clock in/out and therefore offers an option to review a complete summary each employee's activity right on the device.
In some cases, it may be useful to have an employee clock in on a Kiosk, collect pieces on one or more hand-held devices, and clock out on a separate Kiosk. As discussed in Kiosk in Punch Mode, the Time Portal Kiosk can now be placed into Punch Mode, which allows it to operate in this way. Note that the Android and IOS versions of the Kiosk already collect information in "Punch Mode".
Punch Mode Delete Option (Windows Version)
When scanning barcodes in Punch Mode, the Scan History Screen (illustrated below) may be displayed to review a list of punches for the day. The "trash" icon, at the right, may be used to delete a punch if it was made by mistake. This option was previously only available for piece punches but in this release, it is now available for removing any punch. As always, a confirmation message will be displayed before actually deleting the record.
Sort Option in Select Jobs, Location and Crop Variety Screens (Windows Version)
When selecting a Job, Location or Crop/Variety, the list is normally sorted by Code (Job Code, Location Code, etc.). This release includes a new option at the top of each "selection screen" to sort the list by Name (or description) instead.
Update Lists when Time Sheets are Uploaded (Windows Version)
The Time Sheets page includes an Upload button that finalizes Time Sheets which are in the "Ready to Upload" state. Uploaded Time Sheets are set to an "Uploaded" state which allows the back office to start making changes. With this release, Time Portal will now perform a Sync operation to update employee, team, location and other lists whenever the Upload button is pressed.
Support for Teams (Android Version)
As discussed in the article Teams on Time Portal Mobile, Time Portal introduced support for Teams on the Windows version of Time Portal Mobile in February, 2024. In this release, the Android version of Time Portal Mobile now also supports Teams.
A "Team" generally consists of two or three workers, from the same Crew, who work together to harvest a container of product. While each worker will use their own badge to clock in/out, a separate "Team Badge" may be scanned to credit Piece Counts to the Team. Time Portal then distributes a pro-rata share of the pieces to each Team Member.
As illustrated below, the "Assign Badges" screen now includes a toggle to list Teams (instead of employees) for whom a badge may be assigned. To associate a badge or RFID Fob to a Team, switch the list to display your teams, tap on a team name and scan the badge or RFID Fob.
The Summary Report now includes a switch to summarize piece collection for the Team. When the "Teams" switch is toggled, as illustrated below, the "Employee Summary Report" becomes the "Team Summary Report". Recall that the Summary Report option is available on the "Home" Screen.
The "Scan History" screen provides a chronological list of barcode scans that were performed throughout the day on a particular device. As illustrated below, the pro-rated piece counts for each Team Member can be seen in the list. At 2:53 PM, for example, team badge number "T2" was scanned for a single piece and 0.33 pieces were credited to each of its three team members. Note that if you delete the scan for one Team Member, Time Portal will also remove the scans for the other two team members.
As stated above, Team Badges may be used for Piece collection but not for clocking in or clocking out. If a Team Barcode is scanned while the device is "Clocking In" or "Clocking Out", Time Portal will display a message as illustrated below.
