Kiosk
The Kiosk Mode of Time Portal Mobile has been updated to correct issues and add functionality.
Fixes:
When auto closing Time Sheets, the Kiosk would use the UTC time instead of the local time to clock out Time Sheet Records. This could create unexpected times in Time Sheet Records.
Improvements:
- When employees scan their badge, Time Portal does a better job determining whether they are clocking in or clocking out. Please see the article What is Kiosk Mode for a more detailed description of the worker's experience.
- Time Sheets and Time Sheet Records created with the Kiosk are now automatically uploaded every 5-minutes and therefore will appear in the Web Application throughout the day. Along with the ability to "Mark Time Sheets as uploaded", the preferred way to use the Kiosk is without the auto-upload mode as discussed in the article What is Kiosk Mode?
Change Clock In and Clock Out Times
New:
The Time Portal Web Application includes a new policy that enables the editing of Clock-in and Clock-out times on the mobile device.
Once enabled, and after the device has been synchronized to retrieve the update, the Clock In Page will allow a crew leader to clock in workers at a specified time rather than at the time of the system clock. The Time Sheet Approval Page will allow modification of individual clock in and clock out times for Time Sheets that have not yet been approved. Please review the article How to change Clock-in and Clock-out times for details.
