Use Clock out to finish the work you started with Clock in in the new Time Portal Mobile app. This article covers Single User mode.
Before you begin
- Check Home to confirm that you are clocked in to your own account.
- For a piece or hourly-plus-piece job, have your final production total for this work ready.
- If your company requires location access, keep location services and app permission enabled.
1. Review your shift
- On Home, select Clock out.
- Review the clock-out time and date at the top.
- Check Clock-in time and the work details under Work details.
Work details such as Job and Location are shown for review on this screen. If your company allows time changes, use the clock-out time control to correct the time before saving.
Example with sample data. Your company's fields and job details may differ.
2. Enter your final piece count, if required
For piece and hourly-plus-piece jobs, a final Piece count is required before you can clock out. For other jobs, skip this step.
- Select Piece count.
- Enter the total pieces for the work you are finishing, using the displayed unit of measure. Enter 0 if you produced no pieces; do not leave it blank.
- Select Save to return to Clock out.
- Check that the correct count appears in the form. Select Piece count again if you need to change it before clocking out.
Save returns your count to the Clock out form. Your completed work and final count are saved when you select Clock out. Going back from the Piece count editor without saving discards your changes in that editor.
3. Save your clock-out
- Check the time and final piece count, if applicable.
- Select Clock out.
- Wait for the success confirmation.
4. Choose whether you are done for the day
After a successful clock-out, the app asks whether you are done for the day.
- Yes, I'm done: continue to review your workday. Follow any prompts for a reason or signature, then select Approve work.
- No, not yet: return to Home. Clock in again when you resume work.
Clocking out saves your work on this device. Approval and upload are separate steps. Connect to the internet, open the menu, and select Sync to send upload-ready records. Check the result for approval requirements or upload errors.
If you cannot clock out
- Piece count is missing or invalid: enter a valid total, select Save, then try Clock out again.
- Location access is required: follow the app's instructions or see Enable location access in Time Portal.
- The time or shift is incorrect: review Time records and contact your supervisor if you cannot make the needed correction.
- No internet connection: you can finish work offline after initial setup. Reconnect later to upload your records.
If the app reports a save error, follow its message and confirm your clock status before trying again. For help, open the menu and select Support.

If a piece count is already shown
A running total saved in Work details may already be filled in. Confirm or update it to the final total for this work before clocking out. Do not add the same production again as a separate entry.
