Enter your final production total when you clock out of a piece or hourly-plus-piece job. This article covers Single User mode in the new Time Portal Mobile app.
Which total should I enter?
Enter the pieces produced for the work you are finishing: the work that began at the Clock-in time shown on Clock out. Use the displayed Unit of measure, such as bins. Do not enter the piece rate, a dollar amount, or production already recorded for other work.
For example, if you produced 24 bins during the displayed work, enter 24. If you produced no pieces, enter 0; leaving the field blank does not mean zero.
1. Open Clock out
- On Home, select Clock out.
- Review Clock-in time, Job, Location, Piece rate, and Unit of measure when displayed.
- Select Piece count.
Example with sample data. The count of 24 is already entered in this example.
The final count is required for both piece-only and hourly-plus-piece jobs. Other jobs do not require this entry.
2. Enter and save the count
- In Total pieces for this work, enter your final total.
- Use a nonnegative number. Decimal quantities are supported when appropriate for your work; use a decimal point or comma, without thousands separators.
- Select Save to return to Clock out.
- Check the count shown. Select Piece count again if you need to revise it before clocking out.
Save returns the number to your Clock out form. It does not finish the shift. Going back from the editor without saving discards changes made in that editor.
3. Finish clocking out
- Review the clock-out time and final count.
- Select Clock out.
- Wait for the clock-out success confirmation.
- Choose whether you are done for the day. If you are done, continue to review and approve the work.
The final count and clock-out are saved together on this device. Approving and uploading are separate steps; your employer receives the work after a successful upload.
If you are switching jobs or locations
Finish the current piece-work segment through Clock out and enter its final count before starting new work. Select No, not yet after clocking out if you are continuing, then use Clock in for the new job or location.
Enter only the production for each completed segment. For example, if you record 10 bins before switching fields and produce 14 more afterward, the counts are 10 for the first segment and 14 for the second.
Reviewing a saved count
You can review recorded production in the workday approval review and in a record's full details from Time records. Before approval or upload starts, open an eligible record in Work details, select Piece count, correct the total, and save both the entry and the work details. If the record is locked, contact your supervisor; do not record the same production again.
If you already saved a running total
Work details lets you save a running total while the shift remains open. Clock out can show that saved count. Review it and enter the final total for this work, including the pieces already counted; do not enter only the extra pieces since your last save.
If the count cannot be saved
- The field is blank: enter the total, including zero when none were produced.
- The total is invalid: enter a number without a unit, currency symbol, or thousands separators. Negative values are not accepted. The app supports up to six decimal places and a maximum of 999999.999999.
- The wrong work is shown: check Time records and contact your supervisor before submitting an incorrect count.
- Clock out reports an error: follow its message and check your clock status and records before retrying.
After initial setup, final piece counts can be recorded offline. Reconnect later to upload your work.

If a work record contains several separate production entries, selecting Piece count first shows the entries and their times. Choose the entry that needs correction. The displayed combined count is the sum of those entries; do not replace one entry with the combined total.
