Time Portal Mobile limits when recorded work can be edited or approved. Use the record's status and the message shown to find the next step. This article covers Single User mode.
The record is read-only
Work details cannot be changed after approval or after upload starts. A record can remain locked after an incomplete upload, even if Time records still says Waiting to upload.
Check your work before approving or uploading. If a locked record is wrong, contact your supervisor. Retrying an upload, signing out, or changing a setting does not make it editable again.
I can change work details but not times
Time editing requires your company's permission as well as an eligible record. Job, location, or note corrections do not grant permission to change Clock-in time or Clock-out time.
Where time editing is available, clock-in stays on its original date. Clock-out must be later than clock-in and on that date or the following date. Changes must preserve the order of recorded work. If the app rejects a conflicting time, review the surrounding records or ask your supervisor.
A piece count cannot be edited
Eligible piece counts can be corrected in Work details before approval or upload starts. If the record is locked or the app rejects a conflicting change, contact your supervisor; do not create another production entry to compensate.
The record changed while I was editing
Return to Time records and reopen the record. Review its current details and status before retrying. An upload or another change may have made the earlier form out of date.
There is nothing to approve
Approval reviews completed work still waiting on this device. Check whether the work is still open, already approved, in another pay period, or stored under a different account or device.
Clock out when the work is finished. For piece-work jobs, use Clock out to enter the final piece count before trying to complete or approve the work.
Approval asks for a reason or signature
Complete the required step, then select Approve work. Selecting Continue or drawing a signature alone does not finish approval. If you cannot choose an accurate reason or agree with the work, ask your supervisor before proceeding.
The work was already approved
Once Approval complete appears, check upload status rather than trying to approve the same records again. Approval summary may show previously approved work for the day as part of the review; that does not mean it needs another approval.
When to ask for help
Give your supervisor or support the workday, time range, record status, correction you need, and exact message. Keep unsent work on the device; do not clear app data or recreate records to bypass a restriction.
