Correct the job, location, crop variety, or other details of work you have already recorded. This article covers Single User mode in the new Time Portal Mobile app.
A time record groups a clock-in with its clock-out, when present. Editing its details corrects that existing work. To switch jobs or locations as you continue working, see Starting new work while clocked in.
Before you begin
Review and correct records before approving them or starting an upload. Work details cannot be changed after approval or after upload starts. If a record is locked, contact your supervisor for help.
1. Open the time record
- Select Time records.
- Use the pay-period arrows to find the work you need to correct.
- Expand the day, then select the record to open Work details.
- Check Clock-in time, Clock-out time, and the work selections to confirm that you opened the correct record.
Example with sample data. Available fields depend on your company settings and the recorded job.
2. Correct the work details
- Select the row you need to correct, such as Job, Location, Crop variety, or Note.
- Choose the correct value or enter the revised note.
- Review the other fields. A different job or grower may require you to review related selections.
- Complete any required fields marked with an asterisk. Piece-work jobs also require Piece rate and Unit of measure.
For eligible piece-work records, select Piece count to enter or correct the total. Save the count in its entry screen, then save the Work details form. A record with recorded production cannot be changed to a job that does not support piece work.
3. Save your corrections
- Scroll to the bottom of Work details.
- Review your selections, then select Save.
- A success message confirms the update. You remain on Work details and can review the saved values. Use Back to return to Time records.
Selecting a value changes the form you are reviewing. Select Save to apply the corrections to the record. Leaving without saving discards the corrections.
When the record is correct, review and approve your completed work as usual, then upload it. Saving a correction does not approve or upload the work.
What about the recorded times?
Clock-in time and Clock-out time can be changed only when your company allows time editing and the record is still eligible. If they are not selectable, changing work details does not grant permission to change the times.
Clock-in retains its original date. Clock-out must be later than clock-in and on that date or the following date. The app also checks that edited times preserve the order of your work. Contact your supervisor if you cannot make the correction you need.
Saving a running piece total or finishing open work
You can save the total pieces collected so far on an eligible open piece-work record without ending the shift. When you finish, confirm the final total in Clock out; enter the total for this work, not just the additional pieces since your last save.
When company time editing is allowed, you can also fill in a missing Clock-out time in Work details. Complete the required piece count when applicable, then select Save to finish the work. If you have not edited the form, its Clock out button opens the normal Clock out screen. The app checks time conflicts and any separately recorded production. Saving a running total first does not by itself prevent an otherwise valid earlier clock-out.
If the record cannot be edited
- The record is read-only: approved records and records whose upload has started cannot be corrected here. Contact your supervisor.
- A required value is missing: complete the field identified by the message, then select Save again.
- The record changed or is no longer editable: return to Time records and reopen it to review its current state.
- A needed selection is unavailable: connect to the internet, open the menu, and select Sync to refresh your lists. Sync can also upload eligible work, so review your records before starting it. Contact your supervisor if the selection is still missing.
After initial setup, you can correct eligible records offline. Reconnect later to upload your work.
If a work record contains several separate production entries, selecting Piece count first shows the entries and their times. Choose the entry that needs correction. The displayed combined count is the sum of those entries; do not replace one entry with the combined total.
