Use Time records to review the work stored on your device, check hours, and open a record's full details. This article covers Single User mode in the new Time Portal Mobile app.
1. Open Time records
Select Time records at the bottom of the screen. The app shows the selected pay period and its total hours.
2. Find the pay period
- Use the left arrow to view the previous pay period.
- Use the right arrow to view the next pay period.
- When viewing another period, select Current pay period to return to the current one.
Pay-period dates follow your company's settings. Check the date range at the top before comparing totals.
3. Expand a workday
Select a day to show its records. Select the day again to collapse it. Each completed record shows its clock-in and clock-out times, duration, job, and approval and upload labels. A tracked location may also appear.
Example with sample data. The records show work at different stages of review and upload.
Days start collapsed when you visit Time records. Changing the pay period resets the expanded days. Opening a record and returning keeps your place in the same period.
4. Open a record's full details
- Select the record row within the expanded day.
- On Work details, review Clock-in time, Clock-out time, and the work-detail rows.
- Scroll to see any additional fields, such as notes, crop variety, piece rate, piece count, or unit of measure.
- Use your device's Back navigation to return to Time records.
Example of an approved record. Fields depend on the job and your company settings.
Opening a record for review does not approve it or upload it. If it is eligible for correction, some rows are selectable and a Save button appears. See Changing a time record's details before making corrections. Approved records and records whose upload has started are read-only.
Understand the hours shown
- Pay-period total: completed work plus elapsed time for open work in the selected period, using records still stored on this device.
- Day total: completed and active work grouped under the recorded clock-in date.
- Record duration: elapsed time between that record's clock-in and clock-out.
- Working / Clocked in: the record is still open. Its elapsed time is included in the displayed totals and updates while it remains open.
An overnight record belongs to its recorded clock-in date. Historical records display their saved time-zone offset, even if your device is now in another time zone.
Totals summarize work still stored on this device. They are not a complete server or payroll history and do not include records collected on another device or history no longer stored here.
Hours use a compact format: 45m, 1h, or 1h 15m. Start and end times omit seconds. After clock-out, the completed duration replaces the live elapsed time without counting it twice.
Check approval and upload separately
Approved confirms your review. Uploaded confirms that the complete record reached the server. Waiting for approval means the work needs review before upload. Waiting to upload means some or all of the record still needs to be sent.
For open work, Clocked in identifies a record without a clock-out. Finish and approve the work before uploading it in Single User mode. Practice identifies training records that are not uploaded as real work.
See Understanding approval and upload status for all labels and their meanings.
If you cannot find a record
- Check the signed-in account and selected pay period.
- Expand the relevant day. For overnight work, check the clock-in date.
- Confirm that you are using the device where the work was recorded.
An empty period means no records for that period are currently stored on this device. Opening Time records or running Sync does not turn this screen into a complete history of work held by your employer. Ask your supervisor if you need a record that is no longer available here.
You can review locally stored records offline after initial setup. If the screen displays an error, follow its message and use Try again. For a persistent problem, open the menu and select Support.
