Review your completed work, confirm that it is correct, and approve it before sending it to your employer. This article covers Single User mode in the new Time Portal Mobile app.
Before you begin
- Clock out of the work you have finished. Open work is not included in the completed-work review.
- Check your records and make any needed corrections before approving. Approved records can no longer be edited on this device.
- For piece-work jobs, enter the final piece count when clocking out.
After initial setup, you can review and approve work offline using the information stored on this device. Reconnect later to upload it.
1. Open the approval review
After clocking out, select Yes, I'm done when asked whether you are done for the day. You can also select Items to approve on Home when work is waiting for approval.
The Approval summary opens the oldest day with completed work waiting for approval. Review the date shown; it may be an earlier workday.
2. Review your workday
- Check the date and total hours worked.
- Review each record's time range, hours, and job.
- Select a record to expand its details. Check the location, crop variety, notes, and piece information when displayed.
- If everything is correct, select Continue to move to the next required step. If no reason or signature is required, the button is Approve work.
Example with sample data. Reason and Signature appear only when required.
The review includes completed work for that day still stored on this device, including records marked Previously approved. It is not a complete history of work collected on other devices or records no longer stored here.
If anything is incorrect, leave the review and open the record in Time records. See Changing a time record's details. Reopen the approval review after saving the correction.
3. Select a reason, if required
The app may require a reason when your completed hours are less than your known contract hours for the day.
- Compare Hours worked with Contract hours.
- Select the reason row and choose the reason that describes your situation.
- Select Continue, or Approve work if this is the last required step.
The hours and Personal appointment reason are examples. Choose the appropriate reason from your company's list.
4. Sign, if required, and approve
- If the Signature step appears, draw your signature in the Sign here area to confirm your agreement with the day's work and total hours.
- Use Clear if you need to draw it again. Use the back-step controls if you need to revisit an earlier step.
- When you have finished reviewing and supplied all required information, select Approve work.
- Wait for Approval complete.
Drawing a signature or selecting Continue does not finish approval. Select Approve work and wait for the confirmation. Do not approve work that you believe is incorrect.
5. Review another day or finish
- Review next day: open the next stored day waiting for approval. Review and approve each day separately; reason and signature requirements may differ.
- Done: leave the review for now. Other days still need approval.
- OK: finish when there is no next-day option.
6. Upload your approved work
Approval complete means your approval is saved on this device. It does not confirm that your employer has received the records.
Connect to the internet, open the menu, and select Sync. Keep the app open until it finishes and review the result. Check the upload status rather than assuming that approval sent the work.
If you need help
- Nothing to approve: no completed work is currently waiting for approval on this device. Check Time records if you expected to see a record, including whether it is still open or already approved.
- A reason or signature is required: complete that step before selecting Approve work.
- The work changed while you were reviewing: reopen the review and check the latest records before trying again.
- A record is incorrect but cannot be edited: contact your supervisor before approving further work.
For assistance with an error message, open the menu and select Support. Include the workday and the message shown.
