- New "Absconded" property on Worker Contract Employees
- The Worker Contract Summary Report now includes the Absconded flag for each employee
- New Worker Contract Forecast Report
Details
1. A new "Absconded" property is now available for Worker Contract Employees. This property may be used to identify H2A contract employees who absconded before completion of their contract. The property may be set on multiple workers using the Bulk Editing features and it may be shown in the Employee List and the Worker Contract Employee List. It may also be used when creating the Worker Contract Summary and the new Worker Contract Forecast reports in order to omit absconded workers.
As illustrated below, the Absconded field can be included in the Worker Contract Employees List by clicking the column chooser button (1) then checking the Absconded column (2) and clicking Apply to include the Absconded column (3) in the list. The Employee List works the same way.
As illustrated below, workers can be marked as Absconded within the Worker Contract Employees List by selecting "Bulk Edit" on the More menu (1) then selecting workers (2) and then clicking "Edit Selected" (3) to display the Edit Contract Employees Screen. The Absconded flag can be set to Yes/No or left blank if no change is desired (4).
2. The Worker Contract Summary Report now includes the "Absconded" flag for each employee as well as an option to include/omit absconded workers when running the report.
3. A new Worker Contract Forecast Report is now available. This report is similar the Worker Contract Summary Report but provides information relating to the satisfaction of the 3/4 minimum contract guarantee that is customary with H2A contracts.
As illustrated below, the report identifies progress towards the 3/4 guarantee as well as a forecast (based on past performance and remaining work opportunity) of shortages which might result in makeup pay to meet contract minimums. Since many of the columns in the Excel version of the report are calculated using formulas, the report may be useful for performing analysis to ensure shortage pay makeup situations are avoided well before the end of a worker contract period.
