Use Training mode to practice clocking, reviewing, and approving work without sending practice records as real work. This article covers Single User mode in the new Time Portal Mobile app.
Turn on Training mode
- Sign in to your account.
- Open the menu and select Settings.
- Turn on Training mode.
- Return to the work screens and check the Training mode indicator before practicing.
Practice the workflow
Use Clock in, Clock out, final piece-count entry, and workday approval as needed for your practice session. Company requirements such as required selections and location permission still apply.
Training records belong to the signed-in account and are separate from real work. The clock status and history shown reflect the selected mode. Turning on training does not finish an open real-work shift, and turning it off does not finish an open practice shift.
Practice records stay on this device. Sync does not send them as real work. Approving a practice record does not change that.
Return to real work
- Finish your practice activity.
- Open Settings and turn off Training mode.
- Check that the training indicator is gone and review your real-work clock status.
- Use the normal clocking workflow for actual work.
Turning training off does not convert practice records into real records or delete them. If you accidentally recorded actual work in Training mode, contact your supervisor for help recording it correctly.
Delete practice records
- Open Settings with Training mode on.
- Select Delete practice records.
- Read the confirmation and confirm only if you want to remove those practice records.
This removes the current account's practice work on this device. Real records are kept. Deletion cannot be used to turn practice work into real work.
