Open notepad and ensure the cursor is blinking and awaiting input. Try scanning the badge/barcode. If nothing appears, please check the following settings and try again.
1. Search "settings" on the Windows taskbar.
2. Click "Settings" from the list of options.
3. Search "keyboard" on the Settings window.
4. Click "On-screen keyboard" from the list of options.
5. Ensure that the "Filter keys" option is turned off.
