For jobs that pay by the piece, Time Portal Mobile provides options for overriding the default piece rate, specified in the web application, and also for adjusting the piece rate which has been previously applied to any employee time sheet record.  

Change the “Piece Rate” for a  job

In any screen where a Job can be selected, the current piece rate for the selected job is displayed below it. Tap the piece rate link to display the Piece Rate Overlay screen. After entering a number, tap OK to save your changes as the current piece rate for that job.

The piece rate entered for any job will be applied to all clock-ins for that job until the application is synchronized with the remote server at which time the piece rate is reset to the value specified in the web application. The application is synchronized upon a successful login to the mobile app or when the Sync option on the Home screen is selected.

Change the “Piece Rate” for a time sheet record

The piece rate for any time sheet record can be changed in the Approve Time Sheet screen until the time sheet record is submitted. Tap on the piece rate link to display the Piece Rate Overlay screen to change the piece rate for the selected time sheet record.

Changing the piece rate for a time sheet record will not affect the piece rate of other time sheet records nor will it affect the piece rate which is applied to new clock ins.
