Crew Mode vs Single Mode

As discussed in the topic Mobile App Versions, one version of Time Portal is available for Windows and another version is available for IOS and Android.  This topic provides information on the IOS and Android versions.

Time Portal Mobile can be installed on Android phones, Android tablets, Apple IPhones and Apple IPad devices. Employees can log into the app using the Phone Number and Access Code which have been assigned to them by back-office administrators within the Time Portal Web Application. 

Once the employee has logged in, the appearance and functionality of the app will depend on the Mobile App Mode assigned by the administrator.  The topic Invite Employees to the mobile app provides information on specifying the Mobile App Mode for each employee.

Crew Mode

When an employee's Mobile App Mode is set to Crew Mode, the mobile app will provide options for clocking in multiple employees, updating piece counts and approving time sheets.  This is the mode that might be assigned to a crew leader who uses a company issued tablet or personal phone to collect attendance and production information in the field. Single Mode

When an employee's Mobile App Mode is set to Single Mode, the mobile app will provide options that are suited for an employee who is recording his own hourly and piece work.  This is the mode that might be assigned to a driver or an inspector who needs to record time on jobs and at various locations throughout each day.
